Leslie Gunaratne is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Quality.
Leslie obtained BSc and subsequently MSc and MPhil degrees in Construction Project Management at Heriot -Watt University in Edinburgh.
Leslie has a wide experience in the Construction and Process Engineering industries. Some of the positions he held included, Senior Resident Engineer at Abuja Federal Capital Development Project in Nigeria, Project Manager Norwest Construction in UK, Quality, Safety Manager with French owned Company, OTV.
During his career, he has been a full time Lecturer in Construction and Construction Management at College of North West London and a visiting Lecturer in Construction Management at Heriot Watt University.
As a Client Manager with British Standard Institute, Leslie gained first hand experience in developing and implementing ISO 9001, 2000
Currently, Leslie is a Construction Consultant/ Lead Assessor at Lloyds Registry, London
Leslie was the founder President of the Association of Sri Lankan Professionals in the UK, where he held the post for three years.
